BEFORE THE STORM
Live rain and storm radar for Paris and the counties around it, updated roughly every ten minutes. Drag it, pinch or scroll to zoom, and scrub back through the last couple of hours.
If a storm has already been through, you do not have to guess what it did to the roof. A free inspection gets you photographs of whatever is up there, and a written report you can keep whether or not you ever file a claim.

The whole covering renewed to specification, with intake and exhaust ventilation corrected while the roof is open rather than left for somebody else later.
Flashing failures, cracked vent boots and storm-lifted courses put right before the decking underneath takes damage and the price changes completely.
Photographed evidence gathered while the damage is fresh, which is what a claim actually turns on.
Long-life metal systems, from concealed-seam residential roofs through to exposed-fastener agricultural panel, plus the fastener work that keeps the latter going.
Formed in one continuous run so the only joints anywhere are at the corners and the outlets, which is where sectional guttering starts leaking first.
Free, thorough and written down, including the times the honest answer is that the roof has years left and nothing needs doing this season.
A roofing contractor in Paris is working on one of the oldest building stocks in this part of the state. There are streets here with genuinely historic houses, a substantial downtown, and newer building out at the edges, and the three could hardly be more different on the roof.
A roof patched repeatedly across decades is a patchwork of details and materials, and the weak point is almost always where two of them meet. The leak is very rarely under the stain on a building like that.
Cells cross this part of the state most springs and fall unevenly, so one side of town can take it hard while the other sees nothing. Hail bruises the mat without opening a hole, which is why so much goes unrecorded.
Older houses here often have steep, complicated rooflines with several planes meeting. That gives wind plenty of edges to work on, and every junction is a place a repair can be done badly.

“Within just one hour of my request, they had a drone in the air and a full estimate with photos in my inbox. The pricing was very reasonable, the work was finished exactly on time and to a high standard.”
That is the idea. Somebody gets on the roof, photographs what is actually there, and puts it in writing before you have to decide anything.
An older city is a different roofing problem from a new subdivision. Decades of additions, alterations and previous repairs mean the roof is rarely one system, and the water is almost never getting in where the ceiling is stained.
We are based on Como St S in Sulphur Springs, about fifty minutes away. The crew that turns up is ours, and the company you ring about a warranty question in year four is the company that put the roof on. That continuity is most of what the paper is worth.
Where a repair is the honest answer we give it, and on this housing stock it very often is. The structure is generally sound and what has failed is one detail: step flashing at a wall, a valley cut short, counterflashing at a chimney that was never let into the masonry properly.
Being a roofing contractor in Paris that covers this far north means the distance is ours rather than yours. The inspection is free, the travel is on us, and we come back if something wants looking at again.
Diagnosis is where the time goes on buildings like these, and we price it at nothing. Getting into the attic and following the staining back uphill is what separates a repair that works from one that has to be done twice.

Up on the deck with a camera, looking at seal strips, granule loss and every place the roof meets something else.
Whatever we find, photographed and handed over. Yours to keep whether you hire us or not.
In writing, so you can put it beside anybody else’s and compare like for like.

WOW! DJJ Roofing was here at the crack of dawn and before sunset our house had a brand new beautiful roof. The young men on Eliceo’s crew worked tirelessly and professionally under his watchful eye. We were very impressed. Good company, good management, and great price.
Very customer friendly and easy to work with from start to finish. DJJ Roofing made the whole process simple and stress-free.
Highly recommend DJJ Roofing LLC! They were professional, timely, and did an excellent job on our roof. The quality of work and customer service were top-notch. Will definitely use them again for any future roofing needs!
There is no single best roof for this part of Texas, and on an older property the roofline narrows the options more than the budget does. Steep planes, dormers, valleys and chimneys all rule things in and out. Any roofing contractor in Paris will fit all four of these systems.

Well suited to this climate and simple to repair in patches later on. We specify the whole system from one manufacturer, because a mixed-brand roof is where material warranty arguments start.

Concealed fasteners, nothing to back out, and a service life that often outlasts the owner. On a complex older roofline it also removes an entire category of failure, because nothing penetrates the weather surface to work loose. Hail damage on it is usually cosmetic rather than a leak path, because nothing penetrates the weather surface.

The standard covering on agricultural and light industrial buildings near Paris. Very economical over a big roof, with the understanding that screws and washers are a scheduled item rather than a permanent one.

Used on commercial units, church additions and any residential section framed too flat for shingle. The specification matters less than the detailing at every edge and every drain.
Most of these can be checked from the ground in ten minutes, and on an older roof the ones about sagging and previous repairs matter most. If a couple sound familiar, book the inspection. Free genuinely means free, including when a roofing contractor in Paris says nothing needs doing.

Granules are the covering’s sunscreen. Once they are washing off faster than normal the asphalt underneath is aging in direct sun, and that part of the process does not reverse.
That means the adhesive strip has released. The shingle is still sitting there and it is no longer part of a sealed surface, which is a different thing entirely.
Soft metal records a hailstorm far more honestly than shingle does, so dimpled metal almost always means the field of the roof took the same impact on the same day.
Intermittent staining is still a leak. It means water is only entering under certain wind and rain conditions, which actually narrows down considerably where to go looking for it.
Any daylight through the deck is a gap, and a gap large enough to see from underneath is more than large enough for water, for insects and for wildlife.
Trapped heat ages a covering from the underside. Where the soffit intake has been blocked or built over, a roof can lose years of life with nothing at all showing from outside.
A dip in the roof line usually means the decking has been wet long enough to lose strength. That is structural, not a shingle problem.
Houses built in the same stretch take the same storms and reach the same age together. If two or three near you are being replaced, yours is worth a look.
Hail bruising fractures the mat underneath the granules and the roof carries on shedding water exactly as before. Two seasons later, proving the storm did it becomes very difficult, which is why photographs taken while the damage is fresh matter more than almost anything else.
What we do is narrow and we would rather be clear about it than promise something that is not ours to give. We inspect at no cost, document what can be observed from the roof, and prepare factual scope information. Your carrier decides coverage and payment. We never predict an approval.
We also do not waive, absorb or discount a deductible, because Texas law does not allow a contractor to. The National Weather Service office in Fort Worth keeps the storm reports for this part of Texas, which is worth knowing because a claim is easier to discuss when the date of the event is established rather than recalled.
Fresh damage photographs well and is unambiguous. Two seasons on, establishing what a storm did becomes genuinely difficult.
Where the work is smaller than the deductible, or the damage is wear rather than storm, we would rather tell you than file anyway.

The National Weather Service has logged 34 severe weather reports in Lamar County since 2022. These six are the ones nearest Paris. They are worth knowing because an insurance claim runs from the date the damage happened, not the date a ceiling stains, and that date is often months earlier than people think.
For an average single-story home, a full asphalt shingle roof from a roofing contractor in Paris usually costs $6,000 to $14,000 installed, with tear-off and disposal included. Metal is about $12,000 to $30,000 or more, and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles about $10,000 to $17,000. These are typical ranges for this part of Texas, not a quote, because the real number comes from measuring your roof at a free inspection. Prices by home size and material are set out in our roof replacement cost guide.
No roofing contractor in Paris should be quoting a figure before getting on the roof. Below are the six variables that genuinely move the price, which is why two roofs of the same size can cost very different amounts.
Price starts from area and climbs with pitch. A roof steep enough to need fall protection and staging is a slower job at every single stage of the work.
Disposal is charged by weight, so two layers is roughly double the tear-off labor and roughly double the tonnage that has to leave the site afterwards.
It can only be assessed once the covering is off, so it is quoted per sheet in advance and photographed before anything at all is replaced.
Each stack, skylight and valley is a detail that has to be formed properly by hand. Detail work is hours rather than materials, and hours are what a roof costs.
An impact-rated covering or a metal system costs more up front and lasts considerably longer. Both are perfectly legitimate choices on the right building.
Narrow drives, soft ground and long carries all add real time, and on a rural property that is frequently the single biggest variable in the whole price.
Nobody can price a roof properly from the driveway. Book the free inspection and you get photographs of what is actually wrong plus a written estimate you can keep and compare.
Most single-family replacements in Paris are a one-day job. The crew arrives early, protects the ground and the landscaping, and works through in order. It is noisy while it happens and over faster than most people brace for.
Worth doing beforehand: move vehicles off the driveway, take fragile pictures off the walls, and plan any calls for somewhere other than directly under the roof deck. Pets are usually happier elsewhere for the day.
On the older streets access and where a dumpster can legally sit are worth agreeing beforehand. Older roofs are also far more likely to turn up decking that needs replacing, which is why the per-sheet rate is in the estimate from the start.
What can extend a job is whatever turns up once the old covering is off. Decking is the one part nobody can assess in advance, so the estimate carries a per-sheet rate and we photograph anything we replace. You will know the number before we carry on rather than after.

Tarps down, landscaping covered, and the old roof stripped back to the deck.
Any rotten decking replaced, then underlayment so the building is watertight before anything else.
Starter, field, flashing, ridge and ventilation, all to manufacturer specification.
Magnets over the yard and drive, debris hauled away, then we walk the finished roof with you.
Paris carries a substantial amount of commercial roof: a real downtown with older buildings, offices, retail, churches and light industrial around the edges, nearly all of it with flat or low-slope sections somewhere.
On the older downtown buildings the failures are almost never in the middle of the roof. They are at the parapet, the terminations, the drains and every penetration added since the building went up, which is exactly where a proper survey spends its time.
Commercial work also runs differently from a house. The inspection looks at drainage and ponding as much as the membrane, the schedule has to let the business keep trading, and the maintenance plan matters as much as the installation did.
Churches are their own category and come up often here: steep planes, long unbroken runs, a low-slope section over an addition somewhere, and a budget agreed by a committee rather than one owner. We quote those in stages with photographs.

Yes. We are the roofing contractor in Paris for homes and buildings here, about fifty minutes from our shop in Sulphur Springs. The inspection is free, there is no charge for the distance, and storm calls with an active leak jump the queue.
The 25% rule comes from Florida’s building code, where repairing or replacing more than 25% of a roof within 12 months can require the whole roof to be brought up to current code. Texas has no statewide version of it. Here, whether a roof is repaired or replaced comes down to its condition, any permit rules in your city or county, and, on a storm claim, what your insurance company decides under your policy.
Because water runs along the deck before it drops. The entry point is often several feet uphill of the stain and sometimes on the other side of a room, which is why the attic matters more than the covering when diagnosing an older roof.
Yes, and it is a good part of what we do here. Complex rooflines, several planes meeting, and decades of previous repairs all need a proper diagnosis rather than a quick look, and the inspection is free either way.
That is your carrier’s decision against your policy. We inspect for free, photograph what is there, and write it up factually.
Paris sits at the northern edge of the area we cover, and a roofing contractor in Paris is usually near one or two of these on the same run.
Our shop is in Sulphur Springs and we work outward from there across Northeast Texas. Five counties are covered most closely – Hopkins, Hunt, Franklin, Delta and Wood – and the towns below are all on our regular runs.
Not every address near Paris has a town name on it. These are the named communities closest to it, with the distance from Paris itself. We work all of them, and a roof on open ground out here takes wind differently than one in a built-up street.
A few details is all we need to get started. The number you end up with comes from an inspection, which is the only way a roof can honestly be priced.
