BEFORE THE STORM
Live rain and storm radar for Hunt County and the counties around it, updated roughly every ten minutes. Drag it, pinch or scroll to zoom, and scrub back through the last couple of hours.
If a storm has already been through, you do not have to guess what it did to the roof. A free inspection gets you photographs of whatever is up there, and a written report you can keep whether or not you ever file a claim.

Old covering off, decking checked sheet by sheet, new system on to manufacturer spec. The site is swept for nails every evening rather than at the end of the job.
Vent boots, valley metal, step flashing and wind-lifted courses, dealt with before water gets as far as the decking and turns a small job into a large one.
We inspect free after a storm, photograph everything on the roof and in the attic, and write it up in a form your carrier can work from.
Concealed-fastener standing seam for houses and exposed-fastener panel for shops and barns, specified by name in the estimate rather than left as metal.
Run on site in one continuous length so there are no joints to work loose, and sized to what the roof above them actually sheds in a real storm.
About an hour on the roof and in the attic, every stage photographed, with the findings written down and handed over for you to keep.
Hunt County covers more ground and more kinds of building than anywhere else we work: a sizeable city, a university town, small farming communities and fast-growing commuter development. Roofs in those four settings fail in four different ways.
Cells track the I-30 corridor most springs and fall unevenly, so one part of the county can be hit hard while another sees nothing. Hail bruises the mat without opening a hole, which is why it goes unrecorded.
The newer subdivisions carry big uninterrupted planes, which gives uplift a great deal of surface to work on. The seal strip lets go along ridges and rakes and the shingle looks normal from the street.
Whole blocks here went up within a couple of years of each other, so they reach the end of their covering together. Three replacements on one street usually means the rest are close behind.

“Within just one hour of my request, they had a drone in the air and a full estimate with photos in my inbox. The pricing was very reasonable, the work was finished exactly on time and to a high standard.”
That is the idea. Somebody gets on the roof, photographs what is actually there, and puts it in writing before you have to make a decision.
Hunt County gets a lot of roofing attention after a hard spring, particularly in and around Greenville. What is worth checking about anybody, us included, is whether there is a permanent yard you could drive to and a number that has been the same for years.
Ours is on Como St S in Sulphur Springs, thirty-five minutes down I-30, which is what lets a roofing contractor in Hunt County treat the whole county as a normal week. The crew that turns up is our own, and the company you ring about a warranty question in year four is the company that put the roof on.
Where a repair is the honest answer we give it. On a roof with life left in it, replacing a run of ridge or a failed pipe boot is a better outcome for everybody than a job nobody needed.
Being a roofing contractor in Hunt County that covers all of it rather than one town means we see the same failures repeatedly. Subdivisions share builders, and roofs that share a builder share their weak details.
On the older streets in Greenville and Commerce it is the opposite problem: decades of additions and previous repairs, where the roof is a patchwork and the leak is almost never where the stain is. Those take longer to diagnose and the inspection is free either way.

Seal strips lifted, valleys checked, every penetration looked at individually rather than scanned.
If we say a boot is cracked, there is a photograph of the cracked boot attached to the report.
Written out deliberately, because a single figure tells you nothing about what is included.

Highly recommend DJJ Roofing LLC! They were professional, timely, and did an excellent job on our roof. The quality of work and customer service were top-notch. Will definitely use them again for any future roofing needs!
Within just one hour of my request, they had a drone in the air and a full estimate with photos in my inbox. The pricing was very reasonable, the work was finished exactly on time and to a high standard.
WOW! DJJ Roofing was here at the crack of dawn and before sunset our house had a brand new beautiful roof. The young men on Eliceo’s crew worked tirelessly and professionally under his watchful eye. We were very impressed. Good company, good management, and great price.
A roofing contractor in Hunt County cannot name one best roof, because the buildings here vary enormously. A large simple plane on a new build has almost nothing in common with a 1950s roofline in town or a barn outside Campbell. We fit all four of these systems.

Handles the heat, comes in impact-rated classes that some carriers credit, and is straightforward to repair years later. We install Owens Corning, GAF and CertainTeed systems so underlayment, starter, ridge and ventilation all come from one manufacturer under one warranty.

Concealed fasteners, nothing to back out, and a service life that often outlasts the owner. On a large simple plane it also removes the whole category of fastener failure, because nothing penetrates the weather surface. Hail damage on it is usually cosmetic rather than a leak path, because nothing penetrates the weather surface.

Exposed-fastener panel covers more square footage around Hunt County than anything else. The steel routinely lasts forty years; the rubber washers under the screws do not, and that difference is most of what we deal with.

For flat and low-slope sections: small commercial units, church additions, and the occasional residential extension framed almost flat. Both systems live or die on the detailing at the edges and the drains, which is exactly where the work is.
You do not need to be a roofer to spot most of these, and six of the eight can be checked from the ground in ten minutes. If two or three sound familiar, book the inspection. Free genuinely means free, including the times we tell you nothing needs doing.

A steady layer of grit after every storm means the covering is shedding its protective layer faster than it should be, and what is underneath ages quickly once it is exposed.
Wind damage rarely removes a shingle outright. It breaks the seal strip, and the shingle then sits there looking completely normal while no longer being part of a waterproof surface.
Metal shows impact first and keeps the record. It is the most useful evidence there is that hail of a genuinely damaging size fell on this particular property.
Water travels along the framing before it drops, so the mark is frequently several feet from where it actually got in and sometimes in a completely different room.
Easiest to check in the middle of the day with the lights off, and one of the very few things a homeowner can confirm on their own without going anywhere near the roof.
Poor ventilation cooks the covering from below through the whole summer. It is inexpensive to correct and it adds genuine years to the life of a roof.
Sight along the ridge from the sidewalk. Any dip means the deck has been carrying water long enough to soften.
Neighboring roofs are usually the same age and took the same weather. When a few go, the rest are rarely far behind.
Hail bruising fractures the mat underneath the granules and the roof carries on shedding water exactly as before. Two seasons later, proving the storm did it becomes very difficult, which is why photographs taken while the damage is fresh matter more than almost anything else.
Our role here is deliberately limited. We are roofers, not adjusters: we inspect free, photograph the roof systematically, and write up contractor-observed damage as factual scope information. Whether any of it is covered, and for how much, is your insurer’s decision against your policy.
The deductible stays with you. Texas law does not permit a contractor to waive, absorb or rebate any part of it, so it belongs in your budget from the start. Storm dates for this part of the state are published by the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, and an established date makes a claim far easier to discuss.
Policy deadlines run from the date of the storm, not the date the stain appeared. Photographs taken in the first days are worth far more than a description later.
If the damage is a repair rather than a replacement, filing can cost you more than it returns. We will say so plainly.

The National Weather Service has logged 55 severe weather reports in Hunt County since 2022. These six are the ones nearest Hunt County. They are worth knowing because an insurance claim runs from the date the damage happened, not the date a ceiling stains, and that date is often months earlier than people think.
For a full asphalt shingle replacement on an average single-story home, a roofing contractor in Hunt County typically charges about $6,000 to $14,000, including tear-off and disposal. Metal runs about $12,000 to $30,000 or more, and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles usually fall between $10,000 and $17,000. These are typical Northeast Texas ranges, not a quote: the price for your roof is set after a free on-site inspection and a written estimate. Prices by home size and material are set out in our roof replacement cost guide.
No roofing contractor in Hunt County can price a roof properly from a phone call. These six things are what actually change the number, and knowing them makes an estimate readable rather than mysterious.
The square footage sets the baseline and the pitch multiplies it, because a steep plane cannot simply be walked and every single task on it takes longer and needs more setup.
One layer to strip is a very different job from two or three, both in labor on the day and in the weight that ends up going into the dumpster.
Nobody can see the decking until the covering is off, which is exactly why a per-sheet rate belongs in the estimate from the beginning rather than appearing halfway through.
Every valley, dormer and chimney is hand-worked detail rather than field work. A simple gable and a cut-up roof of identical area are not remotely the same price.
Covering, underlayment, starter, ridge and ventilation are all separate choices, and every one of them moves both the price today and the service life afterwards.
Where the truck can park, how far material has to be carried by hand and whether the ground will take the weight all cost real time on the day.
Nobody can price a roof properly from the driveway. Book the free inspection and you get photographs of what is actually wrong plus a written estimate you can keep and compare.
Most single-family replacements across Hunt County are a one-day job. The crew arrives early, protects the ground and the landscaping, and works through in order. It is noisy while it happens and over faster than most people brace for.
Worth doing beforehand: move vehicles off the driveway, take fragile pictures off the walls, and plan any calls for somewhere other than directly under the roof deck. Pets are usually happier elsewhere for the day.
On a street where houses sit close together we agree where the truck and the dumpster will go beforehand, because the neighbors live with it too. Out on the county roads it is the ground rather than the space that decides it.
What can extend a job is whatever turns up once the old covering is off. Decking is the one part nobody can assess in advance, so the estimate carries a per-sheet rate and we photograph anything we replace. You will know the number before we carry on rather than after.

Ground protection goes down first, then a controlled strip so that nothing comes off the roof faster than it can be cleared away below.
Decking checked sheet by sheet and replaced wherever it is needed, then the whole roof dried in before the working day ends.
Every layer fitted to the manufacturer’s written instructions, because that is precisely what the material warranty depends on holding up later.
Magnets over the whole property, all debris away, photographs of each stage handed over, and the workmanship warranty issued in writing.
Hunt County carries far more commercial roof than the smaller counties around it: retail, offices, churches, light industrial and rental property, nearly all of it with flat or low-slope sections somewhere on the building. It is the part of our area where a maintenance visit makes the most financial sense.
On low-slope roofs the failures are almost never in the middle of the field. They are at the edges, the terminations, the drains and every penetration added since the building went up, which is exactly where a proper survey spends its time.
Commercial work runs differently from a house. The inspection looks at drainage and ponding as much as the membrane, the schedule has to let the business keep trading, and the maintenance plan matters as much as the installation did.
Outside the towns the agricultural buildings are still here, mostly on exposed-fastener panel fitted decades ago. On those the usual job is fastener replacement rather than a new roof, which routinely buys another decade for a small fraction of what re-roofing would cost.

Greenville, Commerce, Campbell, Lone Oak, Caddo Mills and Quinlan all have their own page on this site, and we work the roads between them regularly. The whole county is inside our normal week rather than a special trip.
The roofing material and the labor to install it are the two biggest parts of the bill, and both grow with the size of the roof, measured in squares of 100 sq ft. The cost homeowners rarely see coming is decking: rotten or soft plywood only shows once the old roof is off, and it has to be replaced before the new roof goes on. We price decking per sheet, so you know the rate before any work starts.
Yes, and a good deal of it around Commerce. You get photographs and written findings by email with each building reported separately, so a decision can be made without a trip over. There is no extra charge for looking at more than one roof.
Yes. Low-slope membrane, modified bitumen, metal and the detailing that goes with them. We sequence around the business staying open and dry the building in every evening.
That is your carrier’s decision against your policy. We inspect for free, photograph what is there, and write it up factually.
Every town we cover in Hunt County has its own page with what we actually see on roofs there. These are the ones we are in most often, and the roads between them are covered every week rather than occasionally.
We cover five counties from one shop in Sulphur Springs: Hopkins, Hunt, Franklin, Delta and Wood. If your town is on this list, an inspection is a normal week rather than a special trip.
These are named communities in Hunt County outside the towns listed above. Roofs out here sit more exposed than they do on a town lot, and wind gets a longer run at them. If you are on a county road between any two of these, you are still in our area.
