DJJ Roofing is a roofing contractor in Saltillo working from our own shop about fifteen minutes west in Sulphur Springs. Replacements, repairs, metal, gutters and storm work, with a free inspection and photographs of whatever we find.
Fifteen minutes west. Our yard is a straight run back down I-30 in Sulphur Springs, so an inspection out here is an ordinary morning.
No obligation. We will call to confirm the appointment time.
BEFORE THE STORM
Live rain and storm radar for Saltillo and the counties around it, updated roughly every ten minutes. Drag it, pinch or scroll to zoom, and scrub back through the last couple of hours.
If a storm has already been through, you do not have to guess what it did to the roof. A free inspection gets you photographs of whatever is up there, and a written report you can keep whether or not you ever file a claim.

Old covering off, decking checked sheet by sheet, new system on to manufacturer spec. The site is swept for nails every evening rather than at the end of the job.
Vent boots, valley metal, step flashing and wind-lifted courses, dealt with before water gets as far as the decking and turns a small job into a large one.
We inspect free after a storm, photograph everything on the roof and in the attic, and write it up in a form your carrier can work from.
Concealed-fastener standing seam for houses and exposed-fastener panel for shops and barns, specified by name in the estimate rather than left as metal.
Run on site in one continuous length so there are no joints to work loose, and sized to what the roof above them actually sheds in a real storm.
About an hour on the roof and in the attic, every stage photographed, with the findings written down and handed over for you to keep.
A roofing contractor in Saltillo is working right on the interstate corridor, where the ground is open and the weather that tracks along I-30 arrives with very little taken out of it. Three things account for nearly all the damage.
Cells follow the corridor most springs and fall unevenly, so what happened at the next exit is a poor guide to your own roof. Hail bruises the mat without opening a hole, which is why it goes unnoticed.
With open country either side there is nothing to slow a gust before it reaches a roofline. Seal strips fail at the rakes and ridge first, and the shingle looks untouched from the ground.
Four months of it, and an attic with blocked soffit intake cooks the covering from underneath. Ventilation is the simplest thing on a roof to put right and the most consistently ignored.

“Within just one hour of my request, they had a drone in the air and a full estimate with photos in my inbox. The pricing was very reasonable, the work was finished exactly on time and to a high standard.”
That is what being fifteen minutes away buys. Somebody gets on the roof, photographs what is actually there, and puts it in writing before you decide anything.
Most people do not think about a roof until something forces them to, and by then the useful question is not whether you need a roofer but who will give you a straight answer. That is easier to judge when the company is fifteen minutes down the road.
We work out of our own shop on Como St S in Sulphur Springs. The crew that arrives is ours rather than whoever was available, and the company you ring about a warranty question years from now is the company that did the work. That continuity is most of what the paper is worth.
Where a repair is the right answer we say so. Out here it often is, because the houses are generally sound and what has failed is a single detail: a vent boot gone hard in the sun, a run of ridge, step flashing at a wall.
Being a roofing contractor in Saltillo that is genuinely nearby also changes the timeline. An inspection is days rather than weeks, and a call with water coming in is dealt with the same morning rather than being fitted in later in the week.
Knowing the building stock helps as well. Properties along the same road tend to share an age and a set of details, so the same things fail on them in the same order. On a road we have already worked, a leak call usually begins with a sensible idea of where to look.

Seal strips lifted, valleys checked, every penetration looked at individually rather than scanned.
If we say a boot is cracked, there is a photograph of the cracked boot attached to the report.
Written out deliberately, because a single figure tells you nothing about what is included.

Highly recommend DJJ Roofing LLC! They were professional, timely, and did an excellent job on our roof. The quality of work and customer service were top-notch. Will definitely use them again for any future roofing needs!
There is no single best roof for this stretch of Texas. A house in the community wants something different from a shop out on acreage, and with this much exposure to the corridor, wind performance carries real weight. Any roofing contractor in Saltillo will fit all four of these systems, so the question is which one the building wants.

Handles the heat, comes in impact-rated classes that some carriers credit, and is straightforward to repair years later. We install Owens Corning, GAF and CertainTeed systems so underlayment, starter, ridge and ventilation all come from one manufacturer under one warranty.

Concealed fasteners, nothing to back out, and a service life that often outlasts the owner. On exposed ground beside the corridor it is also the system that handles wind best, because there are no fastener heads for uplift to catch. Hail damage on it is usually cosmetic rather than a leak path, because nothing penetrates the weather surface.

The workhorse systems on the shops, barns and equipment sheds around Saltillo. Economical over a large area and fast to fit. The trade-off is that the fastener washers are a maintenance item every decade or two rather than fit-and-forget.

Low-slope work is a different trade from shingle. The covering is the easy part; the parapets, terminations and drainage are where these roofs are actually won or lost.
You do not need to be a roofer to spot most of these, and six of the eight can be checked from the ground in ten minutes. If two or three sound familiar, book the inspection. Free genuinely means free, including the times a roofing contractor in Saltillo tells you nothing needs doing.

A handful of grit at the bottom of a downspout is the shingle shedding its protective layer. New roofs shed a little; one that fills the gutter every season is past halfway through its life.
Once the seal strip lets go the shingle is a flap rather than a waterproof surface. It is the most common wind damage there is and the hardest thing to see from the ground.
Vents, gutters, downspouts and flashing bruise before shingles show anything. If the metal is dimpled, the field almost certainly took the same hit.
Water runs along the deck before it drops, so the wet patch is rarely under the hole. A stain means it has been getting in for a while.
Stand in the attic mid-afternoon with the lights off. Pinpricks of light mean gaps, and gaps mean water and wildlife.
Poor intake or exhaust cooks shingles from underneath and takes years off them. One of the simplest things to put right and the most often ignored.
On exposed-fastener panel the washers are the consumable. When heads back out, each one is a small hole waiting for the next wet spell.
A dip in the roof line usually means the decking has been wet long enough to lose strength. That is structural, not a shingle problem.
Hail bruising fractures the mat underneath the granules and the roof carries on shedding water exactly as it did before. Wait two seasons and establishing that the storm caused it becomes very hard, which is why photographs taken while it is fresh matter more than almost anything else.
Our role here is deliberately limited. We are roofers, not adjusters: we inspect free, photograph the roof systematically, and write up contractor-observed damage as factual scope information. Whether any of it is covered, and for how much, is your insurer’s decision against your policy.
The deductible stays with you. Texas law does not permit a contractor to waive, absorb or rebate any part of it, so it belongs in your budget from the start. Storm dates for this part of the state are published by the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, and an established date makes a claim far easier to discuss.
Photographs from the days after a storm are evidence. A description offered three years later is a memory, and the reporting deadline runs from the storm date rather than from when you noticed.
A denied claim is not a neutral event. If what the roof needs is a repair, we would rather say so than send you into your deductible for nothing.

The National Weather Service has logged 30 severe weather reports in Hopkins County since 2022. These six are the ones nearest Saltillo. They are worth knowing because an insurance claim runs from the date the damage happened, not the date a ceiling stains, and that date is often months earlier than people think.
For a full asphalt shingle replacement on an average single-story home, a roofing contractor in Saltillo typically charges about $6,000 to $14,000, including tear-off and disposal. Metal runs about $12,000 to $30,000 or more, and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles usually fall between $10,000 and $17,000. These are typical Northeast Texas ranges, not a quote: the price for your roof is set after a free on-site inspection and a written estimate. Prices by home size and material are set out in our roof replacement cost guide.
No roofing contractor in Saltillo can give a real price sight unseen. These are the six things that decide it, and every one of them is visible in the written estimate you get afterwards.
Price starts from area and climbs with pitch. A roof steep enough to need fall protection and staging is a slower job at every single stage of the work.
Disposal is charged by weight, so two layers is roughly double the tear-off labor and roughly double the tonnage that has to leave the site afterwards.
It can only be assessed once the covering is off, so it is quoted per sheet in advance and photographed before anything at all is replaced.
Each stack, skylight and valley is a detail that has to be formed properly by hand. Detail work is hours rather than materials, and hours are what a roof costs.
An impact-rated covering or a metal system costs more up front and lasts considerably longer. Both are perfectly legitimate choices on the right building.
Narrow drives, soft ground and long carries all add real time, and on a rural property that is frequently the single biggest variable in the whole price.
Guesswork helps nobody. Book the free look and you will have photographs of the actual problem and a written estimate you can take away and compare.
Most single-family replacements around Saltillo are a one-day job. The crew arrives early, protects the ground and the landscaping, and works through in order. It is noisy while it is happening and finished faster than most people brace for.
Worth doing beforehand: move vehicles off the drive, take fragile pictures off the walls, and plan any calls for somewhere other than directly under the roof deck. Pets are usually happier elsewhere for the day.
At the end of every working day the yard and the drive get a magnet run over them and the debris leaves with us rather than sitting in a pile until the job finishes.
The one thing that can extend a job is what turns up once the old covering is off. Decking is the only part nobody can assess in advance, so the estimate carries a per-sheet rate and we show you photographs of anything replaced. You will know the number before we carry on.

Tarps down, landscaping covered, and the old roof stripped back to the deck.
Any rotten decking replaced, then underlayment so the building is watertight before anything else.
Starter, field, flashing, ridge and ventilation, all to manufacturer specification.
Magnets over the yard and drive, debris hauled away, then we walk the finished roof with you.
Being on the corridor means Saltillo has a different mix from the farm roads: alongside the hay barns and equipment sheds there are small commercial units and shops that need the building to keep working while the roof is done.
On the metal buildings the most common job is not a new roof at all. It is comprehensive fastener replacement, because the panel and its coating routinely outlive the washers under thousands of screws. Where the panels are sound that buys another decade for a fraction of a re-roof.
On the commercial side the inspection looks at drainage and ponding as much as the covering, and the schedule has to let the business stay open. We are comfortable being the company that comes out twice a year to check the drains rather than the one that only appears when there is water inside.
Churches come up more than people expect, and they tend to have steep planes, long unbroken runs and a low-slope section over an addition. The budget conversation usually involves a committee, so we are used to quoting in stages with photographs showing why that order makes sense.

Yes, often. We are the roofing contractor in Saltillo for plenty of houses and buildings along here, and it is about fifteen minutes from our shop in Sulphur Springs straight down I-30. Inspections are usually within a few days and storm calls with an active leak jump the queue.
The 25% rule comes from Florida’s building code, where repairing or replacing more than 25% of a roof within 12 months can require the whole roof to be brought up to current code. Texas has no statewide version of it. Here, whether a roof is repaired or replaced comes down to its condition, any permit rules in your city or county, and, on a storm claim, what your insurance company decides under your policy.
Most homes here are a one-day job, start to walkthrough. A larger or more complex roof, or one needing significant decking work, can run into a second day. We tell you which we expect before we start.
Yes, and on small commercial buildings that is usually the main constraint rather than the roof itself. We sequence the work so the building stays usable and dried in every evening, and we agree the phasing before anything starts.
That is your carrier’s decision against your policy. What we do is inspect for free, photograph what is there, and write it up factually so the claim is decided on evidence rather than recollection. We never predict an approval.
Saltillo sits east of the county seat along the corridor, and a roofing contractor in Saltillo is usually passing one or two of these the same day. Each has its own page.
We cover five counties from one shop in Sulphur Springs: Hopkins, Hunt, Franklin, Delta and Wood. If your town is on this list, an inspection is a normal week rather than a special trip.
Not every address near Saltillo has a town name on it. These are the named communities closest to it, with the distance from Saltillo itself. We work all of them, and a roof on open ground out here takes wind differently than one in a built-up street.
Tell us about your roof and we will get back to you quickly with real numbers, not a computer guess. If it is easier to talk it through, the phone is answered by somebody here.
